Range of Tuition Fees

Bachelor's Degrees: The range is typically between AU20,000 and AU45,000 per year.

General Eligibility and English Language Test Requirements

Eligibility is specific to each course and university, but generally requires a recognized qualification equivalent to an Australian secondary education certificate for undergraduate studies or a relevant undergraduate degree for postgraduate studies.

English proficiency is a key requirement, with common tests and typical minimum scores being:

Student Visa Details

Bangladeshi students need to apply for a Student Visa (Subclass 500).

Requirements: You must be accepted into a recognized institution and provide proof of financial capacity to cover your tuition and living expenses. You must also provide proof of language skills, undergo biometrics, and provide a criminal record check.
Application Fee: The base application fee is AU$650.

Cost of Living

Australia has a high cost of living, and students should expect to need at least AU20,000 per year, even with a frugal life style. The Department of Home Affairs recommends students have access to AU21,041 to cover a year's living expenses.

Student Work Permit

The Student Visa (Subclass 500) allows students to work up to 48 hours every two weeks during the academic year and unlimited hours during scheduled holidays. The current national minimum wage in Australia, as of July 1, 2025, is AU24.95 per hour or AU948 per week.

Post-Study Work Visa

The Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485) allows international students to stay and work in Australia for two to four years after graduation. The application fee is AU$1,730.

Dependent Visa Details

A Student Visa (Subclass 500) holder can include their spouse and dependent children on their visa application.

Permanent Residency and Passport Facilities

Permanent residency is not available to students during their studies. However, after graduation, it may be possible to apply for permanent residency if an employer sponsors you or if you have skills that are in high demand.
